The Rose City Pride Bands
Rose City Pride Bands presents, Rosea Triangulum, for wind symphony and chorus, by LGBTQ composer Randall Standridge, and sponsored in part by a grant from the Jon Sims Endowment Fund.
The theme of this commission is a requiem mass. In honor of the LGBTQ victims of the holocaust, we are reclaiming the pink triangle. This large-scale work combines the voices of our local LGBTQ Choral groups in a celebration of the progress we have made, while also recognizing the work still to be done.
The Rose City Pride Bands is proud to announce the winner of our Third Annual Young Artist Solo Competition. The competition was open to all 10th-12th grade band students throughout the tri-county area and SW Washington. Sexual orientation or gender identity were not factors in the selection process.
